The magnificent coffee pot with ebony handle measures roughly 25 cm. high, 18.50 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle, and weights roughly 679 grams. The elegant teapot also with ebony handle measures roughly 21.50 cm. high, 23.50 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle, and weights roughly 685 grams. The dainty sugar bowl measures roughly 16.50 cm. high, approximately 13 cm. across to the tips of the handles and weights 461 grams. Notice the spotless interior is indicative of the interiors of the other pieces. The stately serving tray measures roughly 54.50 cm. across to the tips of the handles, approximately 36 cm. across and weights 2,138 grams. This set is in excellent condition. Each of the pieces has the French government's Head of the Minerva-1 Hallmark stamp, certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver. The coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl and cream pitcher also bear the Ernest Prost signature hallmark and the serving tray bears the Olier and Caron manufacturer's hallmark. The cream pitcher stands roughly 12.50 cm. high, measure approximately 13 cm. across from the tip of the spout to the end of the handle and weights 244 grams. This is a stunning set in excellent condition. Ernest Prost operated in Paris at 7 rue Reamur from 1923 to 1963. Olier and Caron operated in Paris at 39 rue Turbigo from 1910 to 1936. This set is from the early 1900s.
