Direct from a Private Mansion in Monaco, a Massive Napoleon III Antique Gold Plated Bronze and Dark "Green Sea Marble" Mantel Clock and Accompanying Urns in Superb Condition, Luxury and Quality Traditionally Reserved for the French Aristocracy, Signed "Charpentier a Perpignan" circa 1908.  This Set is a Stunning Work of Art and has been Masterfully Crafted by Hand to the Highest of International Standards, a True Family Heirloom to be Enjoyed by the Entire Family for Generations to Come and a Worth Addition to the Family Estate, You Can't Go Wrong Buying Quality. 

This stunningly gorgeous mantel clock weights almost 50 kilograms, stands approximately 59 cm. high, 63 cm. long and roughly 17 cm. deep. It chimes on the hour and the 1/2 hour and is an exemplary testament to the magnificent "La Belle Epoque" period workmanship in gold plated bronze and marble traditionally reserved for the French aristocracy.  Each of these magnificent urns is approximately 49 cm. high and weights in excess of 11 kilograms.  Each base is 19 cm. in length and 14.50 cm. deep.  Both are in excellent condition although there is a minor piece missing from one gold leaf at the top of one of the urns, but it is hardly noticeable.   This set is a very fine example of period workmanship from the reign of Napoleon III. The casting quality is nearly of jewelry grade, even the smallest details captured in the cast, then filed and chased into perfection. The movement also remains in impeccable condition. All of our clocks are serviced and the movements re calibrated before shipping. This is a truly exceptional and quite rare investment grade work of art from the beginning of the 20th century - "La Belle Epoque" in France; and can certainly be a cherished part of any carefully selected collection.  La Belle Époque is the term often given to a period of French history usually dated to between 1880 and the outbreak of World War I in 1914. Occurring during the era of the French Third Republic, it was a period characterized by optimism, regional peace, economic prosperity, colonial expansion, and technological, scientific, and cultural innovations. In this era of France’s cultural and artistic climate (particularly within Paris), the arts markedly flourished, with numerous masterpieces of literature, music, theater, and visual art gaining extensive recognition.
