Direct from Paris, a Magnificent 7-piece Antique French 950 Sterling Silver Serving Platter Set by France's Premier Silversmiths:  Christofle (Cardeilhac), Puiforcat (Hermes) and Tetard Frères, Each Piece Meticulously Restored to Like New Condition, circa 1890s.  The Set Consists of 4 Oval Serving Platters, 2 Round Serving Platters and 1 Round Serving Dish. You Can't Go Wrong Buying Quality. 

The first oval serving platter measures approximately 42.00 cm. in length, 28.00 cm. across at its widest point and weights 804 grams.  It is stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver in addition to the Puiforcat sterling silver manufacturer's hallmark.  It comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage. Established in the early 19th century, Puiforcat, currently owned by Hermes, has consistently represented the pinnacle of French silverwork for generations.

The second oval serving platter measures approximately 41.00 cm. in length, 27.00 cm. across at its widest point and weights 867 grams.  It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver but the manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark is illegible.  It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage.

The third oval serving platter measures approximately 49.50 cm. in length, 31.50 cm. across at its widest point and weights 1,202 grams.  It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver and with the Christofle manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark.  It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage.  Among the many distinguished names in the realm of French silversmiths, Christofle - Silversmith to the King - stands out as an iconic brand that has consistently set the standard for excellence. It is also stamped with the French Government's Head of the Minerva 1 hallmark certifying a minimum of 950 sterling silver and with the Puiforcat manufacturer's sterling silver hallmark.  It also comes with its own anti-tarnish storage wrap for easy storage.  At the Exposition Universelle held in Paris in 1889, Puiforcat was awarded a gold medal for its outstanding silver creations. This recognition affirmed the company's place at the forefront of French silversmithing.
